I know POP Warner is Dec 5-11. We are thinking about going Dec 9-12 at WL. Qustion: How are the parks during this time? We wanted to go in early Dec for low park attendance. Does POP Warner affect the MVMCP at this time or are they at world of sports the whole time? How many kids/people ar e we actually talking about that attend? Help please?

I was at WDW last year at Pop Warner time and stayed at BCV. I didn't notice much of an affect at the parks other than seeing groups of kids with chaperones touring. Lines didn't seem to be any longer.

I didn't go to MVMCP so I don't know about that and I'm not sure how many people attend.

I had a great time last year and I am going again this year!

I was there during Pop Warner Week last December. Before I went I read many posts about people's experinces (both good & bad) during Pop Warner WeeK. The bad posts overwhelmed the good and it had me slightly concerned.

This was my expreience and oberservations. I stayed at the GF and I did not notice any Pop Warner Activity in our building at the GF I think our building was Sago Cay.

I did not observe any noticable increase in park attendance or VMCP, as this was my first time at WDW during December I am y comparing it to my previous visits in January, May & June of previous years.

All the Pop Warners we encountered were kids having a good time. I observed no obnoxious or rude behavior.

Following were the encounters I remember:
On the way out of the EPCOT closing one night we heard of group of cheerleaders cheering and giggling and carrying on as young over tired young girls do. It wasn't obnoxious or bothersome to us.

Encounted a large group of cheerleaders & families waiting in the lobby at GF for 1900 Park Fare Breakfast, they were well behaved young women. Saw some players intermitenly in the parks, all well behaved young men. Encountered a group in Captain Jacks, we were seated in bar section they were in restaurant section.

I can't comment on the WDW hotels that they were staying at or the WL. We did tour the WL lobby and it was breathtaking.

I would not worry too much about it. They will be at the Wide World of Sports for the most part hitting the parks during their event downtime. The only place you would probably see any significant difference is at the All Stars or Pop Century as that is usually where they stay. As "stink" stated you may run into some of them here or there chanting and cheering (being kids) but it generally does not affect the parks that much.

We were also in the World the first of Dec last year, and I have no qualms about returning at the same time after our Pop Warner encounters.

As stated, I think they spend most of their time at WWOS. We did see players (only knew that because they had on shirts or hats stating so) behaving politely at DSMGM - the park I would say was were we saw the most of them.

The only other obvious group was cheerleaders and their moms at Epcot for Illuminations - the girls were fine and behaved.

We were at AKL, so didn't see any at the resort. I do believe it was the AllStars that had them, so even though we had no negative interactions, I would not stay there during this event (but I don't really choose to stay there at any time).

MVMCP was not a problem - but of course, this has a limited number of tickets so even if it had sold out, it wouldn't have been horrible.

Oh, also, I do believe that one night DSMGM had a party for those at Pop Warner but that was after normal park hours. We chose not to go to that park that day, thinking that they may head over early.

WE too were there last year during that week and had no problems. WE did see PW families in the parks and at MVMCP, but all were well behaved and well disciplined. AT WL we noticed no increase in crowds. The only thing we saw was HUGE lines at all the bus stops going to the value resort. Bus service there had to be a nightmare. Other than to avoid the values during that week, I would say not to worry at all.
