Questions on Forum Thread Rules

Hi - Last week I posted a message in the DVC-Rent/Trade forum to rent my 300 banked points. The bulk of the points are now spoken for by various interested parties, although I haven't received any money yet. (I did make three separate reservations on their behalf.)

1) Am I supposed to Close or Edit the thread at this time or should I wait for their deposits and then close/edit the threads to reflect the new status?

Also, I made a confirmed reservation with the small amount of remaining points which I would like to post as well.

2) Do I wait to close the Points for Rent thread first, or can I go ahead and list this confirmed reservation at this time?

You MUST properly maintain the thread by "bumping" it at least once every 7 days. If not maintained, it will be locked. If you are no longer wanting requests, you need to edit the first post in the thread by adding "CLOSED:" in front of the original title.

You can go ahead and offer the exsiting reservation at any time. Be sure to make sure it is properly titled or it won't be validated. Posting rules are at the top of the board.

You may have one active thread in each of the four category groups as explained in the posting rules. Since a reservation for rent is a different group than offering points for rent, you may have the reservation for rent thread on the board at the same time as a points for rent thread. (The reservation for rent thread must meet all rules concerning offering confirmed reservations for rent)

As Doc said, for your points for rent thread, if you have rented all the points, you should close the thread as indicated in the posting rules since you really don't have any to rent. If something happens and points again become available for rent, you can submit a new thread.
