Questions for walkers or anyone?

If someone is walking a reservation at BWV for 2024 and start in August (or any date) 2023, how can they continue to walk if BWV is in a refurb.
Example: If walking a 2 bedroom boardwalk view at BWV starting in August 2023 and trying to get to Nov 2024. How can they walk the room through the refurb if DVC isn't taking any reservations during those months (Sept 2023 to Jan 2024). This is for any type of view not just 2 bedrooms.
Wouldn't the refurb also impact an members 11 months booking for late 2024 dates.?

You can't walk a reservation if there aren't available rooms to reserve throughout the 'walk'. Not sure if this refurb at BWV would be a complete shutdown, though - often they close sections while leaving a percentage of the villas open. Haven't read much about this refurb, so not 100% certain. But rooms are not available for reservations, the walking will hit a roadblock.

They have already taken the BW rooms at BWV off line for the fall and do so awhile ago.

But, any room that gets taken out of service can interrupt a walk, even one started at 11 months.

So, knowing those rooms are being renovated when they are it’s Probcbly going to prevent anyone from getting them.

Well! This will be very interesting for BWV 2024 fall rooms if no one knows when to start booking. It's going to be a (free for all.)

Yikes! Do people actually walk a reservation for more than a year? I've only walked a couple of months for a Thanksgiving week HA GV at OKW, as there are only 3 of those units at OKW.

Yea, I guess I didn't realize how long people walk either. I often feel a bit guilty for doing it 3 or 4 days in advance! Plus, we don't have enough points to tie up for a really long walk!

I think the longest you could walk would be the length of your UY right? Because reservations can’t cross UY. For example, if I wanted to walk a reservation for Dec 2024 I could start tomorrow with my Feb points and never cross my UY but I couldnt Use my April points because I would cross my UY in 2 months. Clear as mud right? Walking is not for the faint of heart

You can walk over your UY…just need to call MS to do it..can’t be done online.
