Questions for upcoming VWL trip

I am taking my younger sister on her 1st Disney trip to stay at the VWL. She has some questions that I cannot answer so I told her I would post here in hopes of providing her some answers.

Do TVs in the 1 bedroom units have RCA jacks for her to plug in her Play Station?

Can someone provide me with directions to the closest/best Super Wal-Mart/COSTCO/Sams Club? (she wants to visit all of them)

What is the best place to fill up the car prior to departing the area?

We have hooked up a PlayStation2 to the television in the "living room" section of the 1BR. It is no problem, and allows us to watch DVD as well as play the games. We haven't tried it in the bedrooms so I can't help you there.

I know there is a WalMart on 192 South of WDW in Kissimmee. We found it to be overcrowded, poorly stocked and a real mess the two times we ventured over there (summer months). We won't be returning.

ITA on the WalMart. We tried it twice too (our visits were in the fall). They really were unpleasant trips. The selection wasn't great, the checkout process took absolutely forever, and some of the dairy products we bought were past their expiration date. Way past.

Never again.

Thanks for the info on the Play Station 2 for my sister. I'll pass on to her the info about the "unfriendly" Wal-Mart too. She wants to go shopping while there but we may have to get things prior to our road trip. That's what coolers are for, right?

Does anybody know about Sams or Costco near VWL? Maybe they will be better. . .

DVC EEYORE, When we were there last may(2002) we were coming back from the cruise, headed to WDW and happened upon a brand new SuperTarget that was great. I'm also pretty sure that there is a Sam's nearby. You might try mapquest and see what you find out. Have a great trip!

from VWL - at the light turn left - stay on the road - it will turn and go around FW - through a security guard - past golf courses - at the light - turn right - at the next light turn left (you are going past OKW) - when this roads end turn right - (you will go past part of DD) - at the light - turn right - when this road ends turn right - get in the middle lane - stay on road until it ends (it will end at US 192) - turn left - get in the right lane - about 2 to 3 miles down this road is the Super Walmart - I really love this place - it generally has what I want. now I don't generally go on the weekend - too crowded - but Monday morning it is generally fine.

after you are on US 192 - stay in the left lane - Sam's will come up on the left side of the road - it is fairly big and I don't think it is even a mile down this road.

Oh I buy groceries on the way end I go US 27 - then US 192 and buy groceries at the Publix past Orange Lake Villas.

ErinC and Spiceycat thanks for your suggestions. I'll go look on the web too. My sister is happy to hear she can bring her PS2 and plug into the TV while we are there. Now if I can just get her to go do our shopping. . .
