I've been searching for a good deal on Disney tickets since there are so many of us going. We are planning on just doing a couple days at Disney and a couple at Universal. I've found info on a 2 day park hopper ticket and I'm curious about a couple things. It says 2 days park hopper any 4 disney parks + 1 additional day disney quest or pleasure Island, ticket expires 10 days after first use and is only good for 2005. Now all of this is ok for our needs and I have found what appears to be an awesome price, but I'm a little skeptical. I've found this deal two places, one appears to be a reputable company, the other I'm not really sure about. Is this some kind of special Disney is giving out? How do you know if the people selling them are reputable and how do they get them? Is there any way to tell if the tickets are real and good besides just going to the park and getting turned away? Does anyone have any information on these tickets? They also offer a 3 day with same options at a good price. I need a deal, and if these are a deal and good then I want them, I'm just leary of the paying out money not knowing for sure. The second place I found that is offering them has the best price, but it seems to be an individual with some sort of on the side business not a travel company. Any Help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. :earboy2:

The type of passes that you are referring to are identical to the ones that Disney offers to guest who are in town for conventions. I actually bought some last summer directly from Disney, since we were indeed in Orlando for a meeting and the price was good. We were never asked to provide identification for our organization when we used those passes but we had our ID just in case. I did have to provide Disney with the name of our group, meeting dates and the location of the meeting when I ordered the tickets.

There are reputable ticket brokers who do sell these tickets at an inflated, but still reasonable price. DiscountOrlandoVacation.com is one such broker that comes to mind. Others have reported getting this type of pass from the GayDays website and using them with no problems.

The only way of knowing whether a place is reputable is by the recommendation of others. If you do not feel comfortable posting the names of your sources, then try doing a search here on the DIS for the names of the companies.

Good luck finding affordable passes.

If you are going for five days or more, those two and three day tickets could be more expensive in the long run, compared with a single 5 day ($48. per day) or longer expiring ticket for each person.

If you can foresee ten Disney days in any combination in your foreseeable future, a ten day non-expiring ticket with hopping costs $37. per day, with an additional $10 per waterpark or Pleasure Island or Disney Quest visit if you want to add on the plus pack.

The 10 day thing makes a lot of sense, but it's doubtful that many of the family will going back soon. Right now it's a budget thing. Vacationing with 14 people is certainly costly and we have to conserve every dollar.

So, with the convention tickets, there's no problem then? So, if I bought them from someplace like Discount Orlando Vacations it's totally legit and I don't have to worry about them being convention tickets and not being able to get in or anything, right?

The 2 day park hoppers are perfect for us since we plan on doing 2 days universal also. And for price I can get them, it keeps our cost down & allow us to go to disney and hop park to park then go to DQ or PI.

Yes, the tickets from Discount Orlando Vacation are legit and usable with no problem. If a 2-day hopper is all you're looking for, then this is an affordable way to go.

And if you haven't purchased your Universal tickets yet, you may want to look into the Universal/Mastercard 5-for-the price-of-4 Offer . It's the cheapest that I've seen for buying 2-day Universal passes for a group.

Are these two day hoppers the old fashioned kind pre-2005 card? If they are I would get two and keep one to fill out future trips for relatives.
