Howdy! I'm a newbie to all things WDW and have been finding loads of great information here, thanks to all of you. Planning for my trip is much easier now. Hopefully someone can answer a question or two I have regarding the Adventurers Club.
I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to visit the AC because I'm nuts about the whole 1930s pulp adventure theme! But I was wondering:
May one take photos there? I wish my fellow adventuring friends could visit with me, but I think a photo or two in those surroundings, maybe with some of the characters, would be a hoot for them to see. I think these would be the only 'character' pictures I'd be interested in at WDW (I hate having my picture taken, but I'd make an exception). Is this sort of thing allowed?
If so, (and here's the kind of goofy question), would be too much of a faux pas to attend in my own 1930s adventurer outfit? (My friends and I are role-playing gamers, and when we play our 1930s adventures, we sometimes dress up!) I mean, would that be too wrong of me? Would it make you, as a guest, edge away carefully from the weirdo? I wouldn't want to step on the performers' toes, or freak out the other guests. I just think it would be fun to play along in my aviatrix outfit or as my lady archaeologist
(I can't help it, I love costuming...and since I won't be there for a Star Wars weekend to wear my Jedi robes, I thought this might be fun!)
It sounds so interactive--is it still fun for the more retiring visitors? My mother might want to go along and I would hate for her to be bored or uncomfortable, but I want to cut loose and join in. Is there enough going on to entertain folks who just want to watch?
(edited to add another question) Is there Adventurers Club merchandise? I think I might have to have some if there is.
Many thanks for any answers anyone might have! And I hope I don't scare anyone away by being too geeky
