Questions about point calculator!!

For the Boardwalk, the point calculator only lets you calculate preferred view studio rooms. Can you get standard rooms using DVC points and how can I find out how many points they would be?

If you can't get standard then is it safe to assume that if I bought points from a DVC member, I would automatically get a preferred view room??

Standard view makes up only about 20% of the resort and, because they require fewer points, they are often booked up by members unless you make the reservation exactly 11 months out. If you don't get standard the only other category is preferred and thus will get that.
