Questions about Online Dining with DVC

Hey fellow DVCers, I'm rather new to DVC, purchased at BLT not to long ago. I have a few questions about making dining reservations with DVC.

1. Can I do online dining from the normal WDW website or do I have to do it through MS somehow?

2. If I can do it via the normal website, do I use my confirmation number from my letter to make the 180 + 10 option work?

You can do the ADRs online through the regular dining site and tie them to your confirmation number. In the beginning there were some problems but haven't heard about any recently. We did this for a May trip and it worked fine.

You can do either although, since MS opens later than Disney Dining (and certainly later than the website), your best chances of getting what you want would be to use the website. Do keep in mind that the dining reservations online are undergoing Beta testing, so the options are a bit different. Right now, everyone with a Disney resort confirmation can book at 190 days each day, which essentially gives you 180+10 every day. When you go onto the website, just click on the calendar for the farthest day out, you will be directed to enter your confirmation number and check-in date (which you need to do manually) and then the 190 should open up for you. Note, though, that the Fantasmic dining packages, dinner shows, and CRT will still have to be booked at your actual 180 day check-in, and if you opt for the 190 day plan, you will have to make your reservations day by day. The website opens up another day at exactly 6:00 a.m. EST every day. Good luck!

Thanks for the info. I've never done online dining. Or tried to use my DVC reservation confirmation number for anything yet.
