My 5 year old daughter and I will be at OKW in a studio for the first time for Mother's Day weekend. We will not have a car. I have a few questions - I've seen the list of restaurants at the resort. What are some samples of what each place serves? Is there some where to get something small for breakfast? How hard or easy is it to get around the resort? For example - Will it be pretty easy to get to the pool from any room location? Are the bus stops pretty convenient to all buildings? Also, for a future trip, if we request a 2BR lockoff, is it pretty likely to get one? Thanks for all info!

When you reserve the two bedroom you can ask for a lock-off and they will tell you then and there whether or not it's available.

One option for a light breakfast is to have it in the studio. That's the beauty of DVC. There is only one real restaurant at the resort -- Olivia's. They offer a variety of options at breakfast and you can order as little or much as you like. The counter service at the main pool opens early and has coffee and cinnamon buns. Not sure what else they offer for breakfast.

Check out: Allearsnet.com , they have a section on there that shows you menus from restraunts all around wdw and in the resorts. Click on dinning, then look for resort menus.

Getting around is easy, if it's too far to walk ( as it is a very large resort ) just hop on any bus that comes by and make sure you get off at the main building. I have never been far from a bus stop, they seem to be scattered around. We love it there and i'm sure you'll have a great time. They have 3 pools at this resort so usually you are close to at least one. If you choose to go to the main pool they have restrooms, showers and changing rooms there so you don't have to get on the bus dripping wet if your room is at the other end of the resort.

You can also have groceries delivered to your room or pick up some things at the resort market for small snacks or breakfasts.

I never had a lockoff but my understanding is that they are pretty plentiful.Have a great time :flower1:

Just a quick update- there are 4 pools at OKW: Miller's Road, South Point, Turtle Pond and the main feature pool with the new slide, which opened the rainy morning that I left!
