Question please....

I am a teacher and do not get off from school until the end of June. Depending on the year, it could be June 22nd, like this year, or the 26th, like next year. I was hoping for an Aug. wedding, but now I am hesitant.

So for a teacher, what month do I choose?? It will either be the end of June, July, or Aug. Please tell me what you think!

Thanks!

I would say the end of June becsause I don't think it will be as hot as July and August. If you don't mind the heat then go for July or August. Whatever you prefer:)

i think june is better for heat but stress wise i say july. we did july 15th because we drive down and it gave us 2 weeks between school ending and us leaving to get things in order. But if you think it won't bother you ending school and then heading right off i say june.

What about during Christmas break? That is when we are doing it so that our daughter doesn't have to miss school.

I am a teacher and DF will hopefully be a teacher this coming school year. We are getting married at the beginning of Winter Break this year followed by our honeymoon. I am trying to do all of our planning this summer. We just returned from WDW and I could not deal with the heat of a summer wedding!

I'm also a teacher. We got married during Christmas break. Disney is absolutely beautiful during that time of the year!

I have thought of the vacation time, but I coach so i need to be in NY working during those weeks :guilty: .

Just as a note..I was in Orlando today...102 degrees and incredibly humid...so be perpared for that with a summer wedding.

That is something I'm worried about, we're honeymooning in Disney in June 2008. I'm getting married about 2 weeks after I graduate. If your something who stress alot, I'd pushed it back into July, but otherwise I would say get it done in June.

Just be prepared for heat and humidity anytime in June, July or August (and usually May, Sept, Oct too haha). It's very hot right now in Orlando and has been for a couple weeks. I was in the parks a couple days ago and it was HOT. No getting around it. Just drink water and stay in the shade. If you're having your wedding indoors then it shouldnt be so bad.

Another teacher here too :yay:

We chose July and here are our reasons:

1. I wanted to have a couple weeks after school ended to get wedding stuff pulled together, go to the gym, go tanning, get things packed, etc... It's giving me HUGE peace of mind to have this time right now!

2. Spring Break and Christmas break were out for us because I did not want to have to rush around during school to get stuff ready, race down for the wedding and honeymoon and then race back and go right back to school. I wanted to relax, plan, organize, enjoy, and not have to worry about lesson plans or school things that needed to be done when I got back or right before I left.

3. That left July or August. August came with the same result that June did. We go back to school fairly early (workdays usually begin around the 13th.) I did not want to come back and rush right into school mode. I wanted to be able to unpack, do laundry, write thank you notes, etc... with no stress of what's to come in the following week or so.

Yes, July is going to be VERY HOT! However, I can deal with that (I say that now, ask me in a month  ) as long as I get all the other things listed above :thumbsup2 I want to have the time of my life and be focused ONLY on my wedding, being with my family and getting to have a great WDW trip with my new husband.
