Does anyone have any info about the Dolphin's renovation at this point? I talked to them last week and they said they were done through the 8th floor. We will be there March 20th and we are hoping they will be more finished than that by then. We are hoping we get a newly renovated room, but we have the nurse rate of $129, so I doubt it. If anyone out there has been there and seen the renovated rooms at the Dolphin, please let me know. I've seen pics of the Swan but not the Dolphin after renovation.

I can't help you with the "where they are on the renovations" question - but you mentioned that you were getting the nurse's rate and probably wouldn't get the renovated room -

We were there in Oct. on the Annual Passholder rate which was the same as what you are paying and got EVERY request including a newly renovated room. This was also during a time when the entire hotel was at capacity with a huge convention.

My point is PLEASE request exactly what you want - the folks at the dolphin- IMO- bend over backwards to try to help with everything - including room requests!!

:D

I totally agree with 3forMe. We were there in Dec and paid $99/night. All our requests, including a renovated room, were met. They even offered us a free upgrade (to a resort view room) when they learned that it was our first stay.:D

Thanks for the information! I am very encouraged by your news! I will take your advice and ask for a renovated room. I also have 2400 Starwood Preferred Guest points and wonder if that will be enough for an upgrade. We'll see!

Wait a minute, please.

How many special requests are you folks making?

We've already requested a non-smoking, fireworks view.

I recall reading that making too many requests does not work too well.

Please let me know what your experience has been with this.

Hi KIS,

I had 2 requests on my ressie:

1) Non-smoking room
2) Renovated room

Both requests were met.

on the Teacher rate. We asked for a non-smoking room with a view of the Epcot fireworks. We got both of these plus a balcony! I don't think asking for a non-smoking room is "real" request anymore since more room are now non-smoking than smoking. So, asking for a renovated room and an Epcot view is not too much to ask for in anyway.

ENJOY!!!!! We love the Dolphin!

Just a tip on the nurses rate at the Dolphin. Stayed there in Nov. and they did ask for ID. so make sure you bring something . I showed my hospital id .
