I need some info on Dining. Most nights of our cruise we would prefer to dine very casual. Is there a place that we could go with the kids that would be casual enough for shorts and T-shirts?
If so, what kind of food would they serve.

If you are on the 7 day cruise (Magic), most evenings they serve a casual dinner in Topsiders, the buffet restaurant on deck 9. As I understand it, you go through the line to pick out appetizers, and tell them what entree you want, then they serve you the rest of the meal.

If you're on the Wonder (or just want other options on the Magic), Pinnochios and Plutos (the fast food type things) are open for pizza, hot dogs, burgers, chicken strips. etc. The navigators that are listed on Dave's site (dcltribute.com) will show the exact times that they are open on a normal basis.

And there is always room service. They offer sandwiches, cheese and crackers, pizza, soup and a few other things 24 hours a day, free of charge (just please tip the delivery person).

Have a great trip!

Topsiders will definitely be for you. They serve a fine meal there. Room service will also deliver chicken fingers, cheeseburgers, mac and cheese, hot dogs etc. It was nice for a late night snack. If you want a mickey bar you have to ask for it, they are not on the menu. Good luck.

But don't rule out just throwing on some khakis and polo shirts - you may just want to take in the food and atmosphere of the dining rooms! The kids may particularly enjoy eating at Animator's Palate on that room's "show"night.::yes::

Have a great trip!:sunny:

What kind of show is it?

I guess this restaurant is a casual place. Just no shorts or jeans.

it is a light show with corresponding music and the waiters all partake as well. It only happens the first night you eat there.

Forget Topsiders, as long as you don't look really really casual, you know like tanks and cutoffs, go to the restaurants, the food is way way better. I did dress, dressy casual, but 2 nights we wore shorts, there were plenty of people that weren't decked out. With the exception of formal and semi formal nights, where I would say to "get dressed", wear a nice pair of shorts and a button up shirt, and you will look fine. Don't miss the restaurants, I thought they were great, topsiders left a little to be desired for me. Good luck!
