Questions about car rentals from Alamo

Hello all!

I've been doing some research, but it's hard to pin down a specific answer to our scenario and I have just been able to find a lot of speculation, so if you have actual experience with a similar situation, I'd really appreciate your input.

We are flying into LAX and renting a car from Alamo via the Walt Disney Travel Company. My specific questions are 1)Can I use the kiosk check-in with a debit card and 2)Will Alamo place a deposit hold on my card and if so how much?

I would call Alamo and ask. I know that you can use a debit card, and I have a vague memory that they policy for a deposit if different for a debit card vs a regular credit card. They website says a debit card is not allowed for prepay reservations, but I dont know if that means as part of a travel package or just if you want to prepay on their site. We always use a regular credit card so that we'll have the extra insurance.
