We will be in MK on April 7th, which Touring Plans predicts will be a 7 crowd wise. So I am looking at FP+ availability for today, which is also predicted to be a 7. It says that there is still FP+ available for many rides and shows. For instance, this evening you can still get Buzz, BTMR, Haunted Mansion, IASW, etc - all within a half hour from now. All three of our FP+ will be used by 11:30 AM, so I am trying to figure out what the possibilities might be for 4th and further FP+. Is there any fault in my logic in comparing similar days to try to figure out what might be available?

We haven't been to WDW since FP+ came out, and I am trying to plan for it.

Also - I understand that you have to make further FP+ at a kiosk and I thought I saw somewhere that some kiosks are less crowded but I can't find a list now. Is it still true that the kiosk lines can get really long? Or was that only back when FP+ started? We will be there on a very busy day, but we have older people and a young child in our party so it may be worth it to us for my DH or I to wait in line for the FP+ rather than having the whole group wait in line for the attraction. They could take a break together if the kiosk line is long.

Finally, are the fastpass lines the same as they were before ? Our last trip was 2013 and at that time you pretty much walked on w/fastpass. I thought I'd read that initially FP+ lines were longer, but my Touring Plans plan has just a few minutes listed for my FP attractions so I am thinking maybe they've worked the kinks out?

We were there this past week and went to the MK on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Saturday was pretty busy and I'm guessing at least a 6 if not a 7. There were lines at the kiosks, most of the time they moved at a decent pace but a couple of times I was behind someone that really did not know what to do and took a while even with the CM help. We left around 6pm but all afternoon were able to make FP+ within a 15 minute window for rides like IASW, Dumbo, the Speedway, Flying Carpets, Tinker Bell, etc.. I was able to get 2 at the last minute for SDMT. I could have gotten 5 for Peter Pan but that time was 2 hours later and I didn't want to not be able to get anything else during that time period. I was able to get all of the mountains till the later afternoon but they were also not for ideal times for us since we knew we were leaving on the early side. They were available though. I would pretty much book whatever attraction was close by that we could FP+ within 15 minutes (and that was really 10 since you can use it 5 minutes early). We also rode the train around to give my dad a little break (plus the kids liked it).

Missed your last question, at least this past week all of the FP+ lines moved pretty quickly and were as fast as we were used to from the old system. Things sometimes backed up to enter the line while people got out their tickets but that happened before as well.

You should be able to get additional FP's if your first 3 will be done by 11:30am.

Good luck

Great! Sounds like things with SDMT are loosening up now that the novelty is wearing out.

Well, I don't know if I would say that. The wait was 2 hours Saturday afternoon, I think I just got lucky with someone that just canceled. Wednesday was much slower and the wait time was posted about 40 minutes most of the day (it did drop to 20 minutes during Wishes).

Wanted to jump in with a question.. If I have used all 3 FP+ up can I just get one more at a time? Example: #4 I get BTMRR for 2:30 do I have to wait until I use #4 before I can get #5?? Thanks :)

Yes, you have to use #4 before you can get #5, and so on.

Quick tip: When you go to the kiosk to make one of your "rolling" FP+ picks, choose something that you can get on quickly, even if it is not your first choice of attraction or time. You can change the new FP to something else on your MDE app.

So let's say I go to the kiosk and see Buzz has a fastpass time 15 minutes away from the current time do I pick that and then ride it and then continue to do this for the rest of the day? or pick it and then alter it to something else? Sorry this is all new and confusing to me :)

I haven't experienced the new FastPass+ system yet either. I'm still curious how these additional fastpasses work. Do you really go to kiosk and select fastpass, ride that attraction.... go BACK to kiosk and select another fastpass and ride... go BACK to kiosk again and select another fastpass and so on and so forth. Hopefully there's a kiosk in every land at least?? Otherwise that's just ludicrous!!

This is the second time I've heard this advice. What is the advantage to this? Why wouldn't you just be able to get what you want at the kiosk? So let's say you book Small World in 15 min. because it's the first thing that pops up... but you REALLY want Haunted Mansion but it's not until an hour from now. So now you open your app and switch the Small World in 15 min. to the Haunted Mansion an hour away? Why didn't you just do that originally? Guess I don't see what the benefit is to doing it this way, but obviously I'm missing something because you're not the only one to say this...

When making a 4th FP+ at a kiosk do I need the MB for everyone in the party or can I copy my choice to the other two people in my family once I make it?
