Hey I have kind of a dumb question but if you are staying in the Disney resorts can you go back and forth from the park to your hotel- like do they give you a stamp or something? I don't have the park hopper option on my tickets but I am talking about going from the same park and back. Thanks

Yes, you can go back and forth to the same park that day.

They used to use hand stamps, but since January of 2005 they started using a biometric finger scan to link each person to their ticket, so you won't need a hand stamp to re-enter the same park.

You can exit and re-enter the same park as many times as you want, although sometimes if you exit and re-enter within a few minutes they may ask for ID (they're looking for people sharing tickets).
