Can anyone tell me how far the walk is from vwl to the boat for MK - I do not mind walking but want to have an idea of the distance. Also has anyone been to Disney in January - is the weather much different than Feb? We usually go in Feb and may go in Jan next year to be able to use the AP we bought this Feb - any help would be appreciated!

I am not really sure how long the walk is but would maybe guess about 2 minutes. It's a nice walk too, very pretty area. You can either walk around through the main lodge and out that way or you can walk out and around the quiet pool and go that way. Either way works nicely! It's a beautiful place!!! We LOVED it!

We were in Florida MLKjr weekend and Super Bowl weekend this year, and the weather was very much the same. Cool and a bit dreary, but nicer than Ohio.

The main boat dock for the shuttle boats to MK and FW is not really that far. The beginning of the path is behind the main pool. It is more like a "board walk", built above the marsh behind the main hotel wing. It leads out into the lake. If its 50 yrds it's allot. The only thing we found to be a problem is there is no benches to sit on if you are waiting and can't stand very long. Getting on and off the boats can be fun depending on the tide.

In the evening sometimes the bugs come out and you have to walk thru them to get back to the Hotel proper.

VWL is great and we love staying there when ever we can.

The last two Januarys we had weather that ranged from 35 degrees to 85 degrees. Most of the days we had were very pleasant, either very warm or cool.
