Question, someone help please

Ok, got in on a great rate for a fullsize car with hertz. 123, including tax. Supposed to pick up day of arrival. Sept 21 from MCO. Yes, I know its offsite. Staying onsite at disney. Supposed to Drop off day before departure. Question, is how do i get back to Disney. I only wanted the car to be able to go off and visit places other than disney. What should I do? Any suggestions. I hope. I didnt confuse any of you. I am confused myself

I'm thinking a cab will be your best bet. A towncar would be too expensive just for that. Can I ask a dumb question??? Why not keep the car till your day of departure?

Mommy, no not a dumb question at all. But i played with different days, and it just raises the price way over 50 dollars so I guess a cab is what it will be, thanks. Duh, on me.

How about only renting for the length of time that you want through Alamo or National? They have locations at the Dolphin & Car Care Center..both on Disney property. Super easy locations!

Check into dropping off your Hertz rental at Shades of Green (military resort next to the Poly), so you don't have to go to/from the airport. There may be an added charge for dropping there. You can walk to the Poly and take Disney bus/monorail/etc. back to your resort. (Or hop a SOG shuttle to the TTC.)

You can then take the DME to the airport on your last day. I've never taken it so I don't know if you can do just a one way to the airport. I can't see why not. Can someone confirm?

Another option would be to price out your rental with Thrifty to see if you can get the extra day for about the same price as you're paying now. I don't know the duration of your trip, but they've just dropped their prices over the last few days. They're located across the street from Hertz.

We're headed down Sept 26-Oct 2 and I got a Dodge Neon (2 people) for $79 plus tax thru Thrifty a few months back. I'm pretty certain that I'll be able to get a mid-sized (Dodge Stratus) for just a few bucks more ($85 + tax) for the same 7 days. I just keep pricing it out daily.

If I am not mistaken I read somewhere maybe ears.com that the rate for a taxi will cost you around 50 from the airport. I would investigate and way the reward dollar wise. Is it worth waisting half a day doing that?

I'm using the "sams" promotion code (from mousesavers) to knock off 10%.

And by the way, the prices have dropped again, so I was able to upgrade to the Dodge Status for only $4 more just as I thought I'd be able to. $112 including taxes for the week. I'm all set now. Good luck!
