Question regarding new APs

We just renewed our APs on the phone with member services. When I linked the tickets to MDE it generates a notification in orange to make sure you bring your Annual Pass Benefits card. Well, obviously we don't have that. I know that we have to go to Guest Relations to get the renewal certificates activated, but last time we did that, they were not able to give a discount AP pass. We had to order more Magic Bands and they came in the mail with the MBs. We will have a quick turn around in trips so I know we won't get them in the mail in time before the renewal APs kick in. Does anyone know what the process is now for obtaining the AP discount card? Especially, since they let you opt out of MBs. Thanks in advance for any info or help.
 
In the past when renewing the AP's when you go to the ticket window they also give you an actual plastic ticket card. This is what I use to get the AP discounts. They just started sending those special benefit cards with the MB's I don't know if you weren't issued a ticket card last time you activated but you should have been. On our last trip in June I told my Mom to make sure she brought all those cards with her, both the yellow benefit card & actual ticket, but of course she forgot them. We went to the ticket window & they issued her another ticket card so she could get her discounts. You do not need that yellow benefit card as long as you have the actual ticket card. I've never been given the yellow benefit card at a ticket window and didn't even know it existed until it came with the AP MB. But you don't really need it as long as you have your actual ticket.

Going to add a quick question here too, since my topic would fall under the same heading. I bought my AP on the phone also and was given the pass number to link it in MDE, I also had a ticket for the F&W 1/2 Marathon after party. I entered both in MDE they were accepted and everything was fine but now they have both disappeared. I still have my after party hard ticket but never received any confirmation on the AP. I know I have to go to GS when we get there to activate the AP on my MB but do I need to bring a confirmation of some sorts? TIA if anyone has the answer, otherwise I will call MS tomorrow.

Did they give you a "will call" number for the AP? I did a renewal over the phone with MS & that's all I have. If the number you put into MDE started with the first 3 letters of your first name followed by the last letter of your last name & then a bunch of numbers that is what you will need to pick up your pass. The MS person I spoke with said she was making a note on my account of the "will call" number for the AP renewals. I don't like that they don't send a confirmation with the pertinent information but the # is really all you need along with id & membership card. If you are unsure definitely give MS a call.
 

Yep, you are right, it is a will call number. I think I still have it written down somewhere, I will try to re-link the ticketsin MDE. My MB should be shipping any day now, hopefully it doesn't matter that the ticket info was not linked at the time the MB was processed. Guess I should check to see if my FP's are still in place. These little glitches are annoying. Thanks!
