We are traveling on the Magic November 13. My question is, do the ships have the ability to check email and such?

Thanks!

Yes the ships have an internet area where you can connect to the net and check you e-mail etc. Be aware though there is a charge for this so unless you really need your e-mail that bad or you just love to spend money, you may want to wait until you get home.

Unless things have changed, Disney offers one of the best deals for internet access of any cruise line. I was able to purchase unlimited access for the week for $100. Other cruiselines where they either charge per minute or you can buy a package of minutes.

I was on the 7/31 Magic. They have an Interenet Area on Deck 3. There were per minute charges available or I think it was like $89.00 for the week. Not bad for those of us who wanted to be in touch while cruising.

Yes, the Internet Cafe on deck 3 aft next to the Promenade Lounge has around 12 to 15 computers. The unlimited package for the 7 day cruise is $89.99 and the per minute charge is 75 cents.

If you think you will use more than about 45 min of internet time buy the unlimited package. You will save money:D

I purchased the 89.95 package on our 11/2003 Eastern sailing.......there is NO charge to check your own e-mail.....aol, yahoo, etc. The charge is if you set up an e account with the ships e-mail address. My DD spent A LOT of time on our sea days talking to her friends on aim...........
