When are there more crowds at the World?
Late July or Late December? :confused3

:earsboy: Anything would be helpful,

The most crowded time of the year is Christmas to New Years day.

Expect about 20K more people per day in the parks than the end of July. 80K per day vs 60K per day.

I was in Disney xmas day until new years eve and it was horrible. When we were leaving the park to go to rest, they told us we had to get a stamp to get back in because the parks would reach maximum capcity. We actually went home a day early, because it was way to crowded. The decorations were nice, and it was cool in Dec though. I have not been in July so I can not compare to that though.

Before christmas and after new year are a lot slower than any time in the summer though.

It's very hot, and uncomfortable in July, something to consider.

Well, we've only been there in July, but we wanted to expierence Christmas w/Mickey. It sounds like the crowds would be horrible! Know of anyother time when the crowds are small? I don't want the kids to miss out of school either. Any suggestions???

Thanks.

The more days the better in my opinion! There are 4 theme parks to see and each park, especially Epcot is huge with a lot to see and do. You will have fastpass capability with any ticket you purchase. Just know that you will not see everything, try to do some research on these boards, the Disneyworld website and maybe a guidebook like the Unofficial Guide and decide on what you really want to see the most. We have been to WDW 4 times for a total of 30 days between all of those trips and there are still some things we haven't seen! Good luck!

Late December, I was there Late July it was pretty crowded, but I imagine that since Christmas is so big that the crowds will be huge and since it is the big 50 the people will be packing in like a pack of mice to a crumb of cheese.

I disagree - late August (middle of third week up until the weekend before Labor day) is arguably better than mid December. The former has longer park hours, more shows, lower room rates than the June through early August summer high season and small crowds due to southern school system openings. Yes, it's still hot, but the pools are also a lot more "swimable" than they are in December.

As for mid December, the days when it was some sort of "secret" low season just for well read DIS types are long gone. More and more people are booking the resort at that time now, wanting to see all the Chrismas decorations before the mobs arrive the week of Christmas (read anything anywhere about Disney and the holiday season, and you'll see that "go in mid December" recommendation again and again and again). Add to the short park hours and limited entertainment schedules, and mid December isn't so necessarily so great compared to late August.
