Question regarding Annual Pass

We are wanting to buy annual passes for our trip planned in Oct. 2003.
I need to know if I were to buy them ahead of time: for example: Now- will my year start with today's date? Or will it start the day I use it to get into the parks?

You can order your AP's from your local DIsney store, most times they do not require you to pay until you pick them up form the store takes about 2 weeks for the order to come back to them. This is only a voucher it is not your actual ticket, You take this to the customer service area outside one of the Parks and convert it over to your actual Ticket> At that point that is when it is active and you have year from that date.

You can also order them from Disneyworld.com if you do not have a Disney Store. They will also send you a voucher to exchange for a ticket upon arrival at Disney World. Another intresting thing we noticed with our last annual pass is it is good for 366 days, for instance if you activate it on May 5th, you can use it on May 5th the next year. I would think you could only use it on May 4th! This came in very handy for us last year as we were able to have that additional day in the parks!

Now I can purchase my vouchers for tickets and feel like I am organized, before the trip starts. Also, take advantage of an airline miles credit card before next year!
