Question re: DL/DCA Donald and Daisy pins

The other day, Eeyore's Pal posted about a couple of formally dressed Donald and Daisy pins. I can't find that post, but Eeyore's Pal, if you're reading this, Taylor tells me this morning that in addition to the ones we discussed, she also remembers seeing at the August Epcot event (on the DL/DCA preview board) a full sized formal Donald, and a full sized Daisy---she thinks they had the entire Fab Six on the board...

The Donald was dressed in a Tux, and the Daisy was in a lavender or purple dress, "greyish-silver" shoes, and light blue boa.......my question----does anyone know if these have been released yet, or when they might be??

You're saying Taylor remembers them as being new rack pins scheduled for DLR? I hope she's right. I think someone on my earlier post thought it was TDL. I did look through Dizpins boards for anyone mentioning these as new rack pins, but I didn't see anything.

I put my first group of Donald & Daisy pins into a shadow box this past weekend. I'm so excited because it looks great. I'd love to have the full sized formal pair too for my next group.

If anyone has any definite information on these pins, please let me know. Thanks.

Yes, that's right....either DL or DCA.....I don't remember them, but she does, and if anyone knows their Daisys it's Taylor

As for the TDL, I know I've seen them.....they're in the DizPins news archives somewhere.....I'll go back and look when I get time, and post here or email you....

As for your Donald and Daisy shadowbox, post a picture for us! Taylor would *love* to see it!

Do I have this right? You think that the full size pins may already be released at TDL? And will soon be released at DLR?

I have the tiny ones from the JDS set. Also, DCA had a fab six series, full size, exact same post as the JDS set, just some color details were different, and the characters are standing on DCA platforms. I have these also.

I like them better without the platform.

...here's the scoop......

Check Dizpins News Archives.....found a note under 23 August 2001.......pictures of new releases, including a Japan Disney Store (not TDL, as we thought...) Formal Donald in Tux, and a note that says that 3 other pins were released, including a Formal Daisy, which is said to be a larger version of the JDS mini-pin (PinPics # 3890), and is also "very similar" to the DCA Formal Daisy (# 4658), but "without the base". Also mentioned, but not pictured, are a "new" Mickey and Minnie.......don't know if these are formal or not.......

I couldn't find anything beyond this.......

This all seems to answer your original question on the other thread, doesn't it? Now what about these DL or DCA Donald and Daisy?? Hope someone has some info. for us!

{Maybe you can find the info on the new WDW pin bag? I may have dreamed that one up completely! It's under Brer-Frog's thread on the new TDS pin bags.}

I could try to track those pins down in Japan, but it would be so much easier if they're scheduled for California sometime soon. I don't know if there's a way to find that out.

Anybody mind if I bump this up to see if any of our west-coasters might have an answer??

I'm still looking to see if anyone knows the release date (upcoming, or past???) for the new DL or DCA lavender-dressed, silver-shoed, formal Daisy Duck pin (see first post on this thread), and also a new Donald in a tux......Taylor also told me tonight that this Daisy sports a ponytail, as have some of the newer DCA Daisy pins.

These pins were on the "preview" board shown at the DL booth at the Epcot pin event in August......can anyone help? Or was my 8 year old the only one who saw these pins??? Hmmmm.......

Actually, the problem may be that 8-year-old Taylor is the only board member that does not have short term memory loss.
