Hey everyone,

In May we will be taking our first trip since My Disney Experience and Magic Bands have been put in full force.

I have a couple questions:

1] We have been buying 10 day no expiration Park Hopper with Water Park and More tickets. We currently have one set of tickets that do not have park visits left on them but still have 5 WPM visits, and a second set of tickets that have 9 park days and 10 WPM visits. Can I put both tickets into My Disney Experience, or should I just put the one in with the park visits remaining? (I don't know if you can "manage" multiple tickets per person in MDE.)

2] The tickets I have have been converted to the RFID cards already. If I were to link the ticket to the Magic Bands can I unlink it later, or will it stay permanantly linked? The reason I am asking is, I know we will run out of park visits before we use all the WPM visits and I don't want to loose them. (We are considering getting Annual Passes once we use up all these park days.)

As much as tickets cost, I am wanting to make sure I maximize the use of the tickets and don't want to loose anything if I can help it.

Thanks in advance! :worship:

Hey everyone,

In May we will be taking our first trip since My Disney Experience and Magic Bands have been put in full force.

I have a couple questions:

1] We have been buying 10 day no expiration Park Hopper with Water Park and More tickets. We currently have one set of tickets that do not have park visits left on them but still have 5 WPM visits, and a second set of tickets that have 9 park days and 10 WPM visits.

1a] Can I put both tickets into My Disney Experience,

1b] or should I just put the one in with the park visits remaining?

1c] (I don't know if you can "manage" multiple tickets per person in MDE.)

2] The tickets I have have been converted to the RFID cards already.

2a] If I were to link the ticket to the Magic Bands can I unlink it later,

2b] or will it stay permanantly linked?

2c] The reason I am asking is, I know we will run out of park visits before we use all the WPM visits and I don't want to loose them. (We are considering getting Annual Passes once we use up all these park days.)

1a] You can.
1b] But, for now, I'd just put the "park" tickets in MDE.
1c] It can be done, but there's no reason to do so for this trip.

2a] It can be done, but there's no reason to worry about it.
2b] Multiple tickets can be in your MDE, and you can set the "priority" of use
of those tickets so that only one will be used at a time.
2c] So, if you buy an AP, you can get it set as the "ticket of priority" for
a trip. (Even change the priority during a trip.)

You have the same problem that I recently had and unfortunately I still have.

I was trying to load in my 10 no exp passes that only had the water parks on them. I was having problems linking them in so I called the help desk for MDE and ther handled it for me. You can't do it yourself because technically the system only recognizes passes that have park passes on them as far as linking so you can't do it without a cast member from the help desk.

Now, to make it a bit more confusing, if you go into your MDE account via the web(through your computer), those passes will not show up on the list of linked passes, BUT if you go in via your smart phone, those passes will show up. The reason as it was given to me is the software for the web is older than the software for the smart phones and this issue will be eventually solved when the web software is upgraded....sometime in the future.

How the system uses the park passes is still a mystery to me as how it was explained to me is not how it actually works. I had purchased a few 1 day after 4pm convention tickets when I was they 3 weeks ago and I asked if the system was smart enough to know to use those passes first rather than the 6 day no exp passes I had in my account and I was told...no problem...it will know that you are entering after 4 pm and use those passes first. Well guess what...

So I have spent many phone calls, e-mails, etc with various Disney help desks to get this straightened out and everyone I talk to says its someone elses issue not theirs, so we will see how this plays out. I have no plans to visit WDW in the near future so time is not of the essence, but I want to get it cleared up before the issue becomes stale and old.

From how the system used my tickets it looks like when you scan your MB at the park, the system will use the first one on your list that qualifies. So when I went to MK at 6 pm, the system passed over my 10 day no exp tickets that only had water parks on them, then went to my 6 day no exp tickets and used that one. It never continued on to my 1 day after 4pm ticket which is the one it really should have used.
