Question on linking reservations and modifying palo reservation

We are booked for a cruise in October but now my in laws might be coming - we are a VGT room, and they’d be booking the same category, it’s not important to be near each other. But we would like to be seated at dinner together, is it best to add their reservation to connect it with ours? Or can we just email a request (also worried if they’ll even get main dining like we have) If we do that do they still do their own online checked etc, or would we have to do that together? I know every about traveling with other parties at Disney world but for DCL this is new to me we always travel alone.

For Palo brunch - we have a reservation booked , can we modify it to add people if available or do we need to cancel it and check for availability for 4 people? Or, just ask when we get on the ship if there is an option to add them.

Have them add a "traveling with" note so you'll be linked for dining and can add them to your app. You'll still need to check in each stateroom individually but one person could do both rooms if you have all the information.

For Palo you can either try to find another table for 2 at a similar time and then swing by Palo and ask to be seated together. If that doesn't work I would then just try to add them onboard, I would bet you'd be able to.
