Question on late July crowds

I am going July 19-27. Now I realize it is likely going to be crowded no matter when I go. But I am wondering (I am staying 45 minutes away so coming at open, leaving and coming back not really practical) if it would be best to arrive at rope drop and get as much done by say 4 as I can (I have health issues, on dialysis so I know any longer I won't be able to do) or would it be better to show up later and stay until closing?

I would go later and stay until closing, for a few reasons: 1. It's cooler at night. July will be stifling hot. 2. You won't be rushed to get there in the morning. You'll have to leave over an hour before opening to be inside the park right at rope drop. 3. The low crowds in the morning don't last as long as the evening ones. 8-closing is very uncrowded, but the morning crowds hit around 10:30, so you only get an hour or two there. Make your fp+ selections for late afternoon, arrive in time for your first one, eat dinner in the park or a nearby resort, and stay til closing. You'll get tons done.

We did the following in the last 4 hours MK was open 3 weeks ago (8 pm - midnight) without FP+.

Big Thunder 3x
Splash Mtn 2x
Space Mtn 2x
Mine Train (10 min wait right a closing time)
Pirates
Jungle Cruise
Haunted Mansion
Pooh
Peter Pan
Speedway
Barnstormer 2x

You can definitely get a lot more done during the evening hours this time of year. Book your 3 FP+ in advance for mid afternoon and then wait for the crowds to diminish. In July, it can get really hot and the folks that got there early will get tired and leave. Use that to your advantage.
