question on adding a person to a room

I will be calling Disney in the morning, but wondering if anyone knows this answer tonight.

If I book two rooms that each hold 4 people in them that are by each other, hoping for connecting and only put 2 in each room and then decide to put all 4 in the same room before final payment is due,(and cancel the extra room) would the pricing stay the same or would the two that move into the other room have to pay the going rate since they moved rooms? hope I didn't confuse anyone with this situation. It's complicated

For starters, you may not be able to move more people into either cabin when you get close to the final payment date. Two cabins, next to each other, may not have the same lifeboat station. If the lifeboat station is full for the cabin you are trying to move people into, you won't be able to do the move.

As for pricing..... you will probably pay the going rate at the time you do the move.

You will pay the going rate at the time you make the move IF you are able to make it (as above).

This is one of those situations where it is best to know what you want to do when you make the booking if at all possible.

We encountered a similar situation when looking at adding someone to our room--the price has gone up so much that adding number 3 will cost more than the first 2! I was quite surprised as the third/4th person rates are generally lower.
