Hi,

This is my first post on the Dis and have lurked alot though.

I had a question for dvc renters:

If I rent a 5 day rental and payed for it in advance and say if I have to leave a day or 2 early during my trip can I just let front desk know and leave even though I purchased from a renter. I would not be asking for anything back and know I would not get anything back but I just wanted to know if I could leave without any problems for the dvc owner who rented to me.

Work may call me back and I would have to go if it is critical.

Has anyone ever done this.

Thanks :wizard:

I don't see why you can't leave at any time as long as you are not asking for a refund of points for the person you rented from and you are not asking for a refund of cash from the actual owner of the points.

I know some hotels charge for leaving early and some do not but I was not sure how dvc rentals work if leaving 1 or 2 days early. I would definitly not ask for anything back but wanted to know if it was easy to do.

The reservation is considered complete on check-in day - whether you arrive or not. There will be no problem (and no charge) to leave earlier than your scheduled departure date.

Hopefully, you'll be able to enjoy your entire vacation.

Enjoy!

Thank you for your quick responses.

Hopefully i will not have to leave early but duty calls. :moped: :wave2:

Hopefully, duty won't call you home early from your trip. One of the reasons we all like DVC is that we are forced to take a vacation :teeth: whether duty calls or not! Maybe they won't call too loudly.. :wave2:

Just tell them to leave a message. ;)

I hope you have a wonderful vacation during the e-n-t-i-r-e stay!

don't answer your phone, i repeat ...don't answer your phone!!
