I have used Shutterfly to make a 12x12 photo book. I just used their pages, doing a drop & drag with my pictures. I love it! I'm planning on doing all my vacations that way, great coffee table books. My question is DD is going to teach my digital scrapbooking and I want to know if I can make one of their books say 12x12 for example, but on a page where a full picture would go, can I put a digital scrapbook page I made instead? Does that make sense...I hope so. I know they do digital scrapbooks, you make the pages and upload them. But, I wanted to combine their drop & drag pages with pages that I made.

I hope this makes sense...if not just say so and I'll try to clarify.;)
Thanks!!

To make shutterfly books with digital scrapbook pages:

1. Make your pages. Keep in mind as you make them to leave space around the edges, as they do trim off your image. Leave a large space free of text on the side that will go in the binding. And by space I don't mean blank/white, just nothing important that can get lost like text or pictures.

2. Also as you make your pages, keep in mind if you want the side by side pages to match or not. When I did mine I didn't care if they matched perfectly, I did chronological order. Others insist on side by side pages matching.

3. When you upload your "picture" instead of it being just a regular picture, you upload the image of your scrapbook page. Your page should be flattened into a .jpg and the correct size. Do not flatten your original layout, but use save as or the export option, depending on your graphics program. I create at 12x12, but wanted an 8x8 Shutterfly book, so I changed them to just under 8x8 and then made them .jpg's.

I've never used the drag and drop feature so I don't know about it. I imagine you can combine, but I don't know.

As usual Fran has set you right. I just got my Shutterfly book back of my LOs and I love it. I can't think of anything to add to what Fran has said. Good luck!
