Question for Disney Castmembers?

I just read on Deb's website, about something they are doing in the month of October at the Magic Kingdom...

"Cinderella Honorary Princess of the Day" - Every day in the month of October one little girl visiting the Magic Kingdom will be chosen at random as a "Cinderella Honorary Princess of the Day" to celebrate the October 4 DVD release of the motion picture "Cinderella." The chosen princess will receive a Cinderella gown and tiara, as well as a ride in Cinderella's horse-drawn coach in an honorary princess procession ahead of the 3 p.m. parade, accompanied by banner carriers, coachmen and Cinderella's mice, Suzy and Perla. The honorary princess have a private meeting with Cinderella, and will also receive a copy of "Cinderella" on DVD.

QUESTION>. How and when do they chose the little girl's to participate ? What do they look for ? Who chooses them, Is it really "random"? My niece is 5 and we will be there for a week in October. This would be so amazing if she was able to experience something like this...

I am not a CM but like everything else it is random at WDW. They look for people that are having a good time in the park.

That sounds like fun! Though as a mom of little boys I sure do hope they are open to having a "Prince" for a day as well as just a "Princess."

I am a cast member but I could not tell you how or when or where. Usually as with the 'Guests of Honor' that ride in the front of the parade, it is being in the right place at the right time. I would think this would happen early in the morning so being there at the time the park opens may be a good idea. And dressing them up or just looking like they are having fun couldn't hurt either. Good luck to your DD!

I was there on Sunday and there was no princess before the parade that day. Don't know if they didn't pick one or she couldn't handle it.
