There were no fireworks on the 4th. We were told they can only carry so many and they use them on Pirate Night (the 5th for us). They did have a deck party with the band and the characters at 2:30 I think. They sang the anthem and had flag up and all. There were some decorations around the ship. At 7:30pm there was music and characters (they were there briefly and stayed on the steps) in the atrium (it was packed) and there were people all around the higher decks looking down. About 7:45 they had a balloon drop - lots of red white and blue balloons that had been suspended since sometime before we borded. Everyone had a good time catching/popping them. After your meal you were given a glass of champagne - I presume the kids got cider or something - we were in Palo so I don't know. It was in a souvenier plastic glass with red and blue glitter on the stem and base and it says in red and blue Disney Cruise Line Celebrates July 4, 2005. There was also a pin for sale that evening.
So that's what was at dinner! I was wondering where those champane glasses had come from. We were at Palo's too and did not make it out in time for the balloon drop. Did catch the fireworks on Pirate night even though it drizzled a bit.
