ok - I have a question.

If you have a wii fit, does it tell you how much you weigh? and then can everyone using that wii fit see that?

It only tells you when you do the Body Test. And you can password protect it so no one else can get into your profile. When you're just working out it doesn't.

I've only played a few times, so I may be wrong.

BCV513 - you are right, but you don't even have to see it when you set up your Mii. It does, however, show your BMI and makes you into a little chubby Mii if you are a little chubby.

well, I am a little short so we'll see how it makes me look. I am overweight a bit so it should be interesting.

It's been ordered -- it's not here yet -- and we'll all be using it. I just didn't want my kids saying "mom, you weigh XXX?"

know what I mean?

I completely understand what you mean! If you do the body test, I'd try to do it alone. Like mickeyboat said, it doesn't tell you your weight unless you ask, but it will give you your BMI. Then it tells you where your BMI falls. Mine shot right up to obese and my little Mii blew up too. I'm glad there was no one around to see that. Of course, you could always fudge your height a bit. ;)

Shoot, I always put the TV on mute when it gets to that part, even if I'm totally alone!

I really LOVE my WII FIT, luv luv luv it. :thumbsup2 Its so much fun. You can lose weight and it really works at toning. I love the exercises, the strength, balance, super love the yoga, the hoola hoop for your stomach is phenomenal. My husband commented at how good I look within a couple weeks only of doing. Just got this past Christmas. Its addictive. You create a little "Mii" and you connect to that when you go on so people don't have to see what you weigh. You do have to go through a fit program first which checks your weight for your age, you do little exercises, etc. Its really an amazing item. I even luv the Wii games, they're also ways to lose weight, and I hated video games of all kinds. I didn't have a bad weight prob tho, I did lose a couple pounds and it really super tones you.

I think that if you use the Wii Fit in combination with other exercises and a sensible diet then yes, you can lose weight.:thumbsup2

My goal right now is 1 lbs per week, because while I do try to exercise at least 2 hrs per day (not all on the Wii Fit), sometimes I slip. I have a WISH journal on the WISH Journals board if anybody wants to check it out. I've struggled with weight for quite a long time and it'll be a long, hard road to get 'skinny' (which for me is a size 10).

I am getting better though and I'm in better shape than I was when I started out a few months ago. :cool1:

Oh yeah, I love hearing "that's OBESE!" and seeing my mii balloon up. Beautiful and really inspiring

I still use it, just when noone's around to hear it or see me doing the Hula Hoop game

Yes, you when it displays the BMI you have to click the button for it to display the weight. So no one watching would know what you weigh, but they will be able to see if your BMI falls into the overweight or obese category.

As others have said, you can just do the body test when you're alone. You can always go straight to the training and skip the body test if others are around (except the first time you use it to set up your Mii).

And here's a great quote for you all. When we first got the thing I got on and it gave my BMI. My DH says, "That's lower than I thought it would be." :rotfl:
He really didn't intend to be mean, but I don't think I'll let him live that one down. He's in good shape and I've put on a few pounds after 3 kids and stopping breastfeeding-- but our BMI is the same. I also expected mine to be much higher than his. My satisfaction came when I saw his little Mii plump up. ;)

Is there a secret to the hula hoop game? I get like one hoop and then it falls to the floor. My hips are stuck in park! ;)

Oh my kids laughed really hard when my mii puffed up like a balloon!!! Both my kids and my DH had their Miis shrink. It is a fun way to get fit.

I don't like it when I step on the balance board and she says, "Ooh!" Like, "wow you weigh too much, get off of me". Wii Fit doesn't consider me overweight, but I hate that little comment every time I get on the board.
