Question about waiting list

If you are put onto a waiting list for a Boardwalk view at BWV what are your chances of getting it? If you do get it will you usually find out close to the time of your trip? Same questions for wait list for a standard view on BWV.

All depends of the time of the year. But chances are pretty good..believe it or not the standard view rooms are harder to get. Just get on the waiting list day by day and call MS every few days. Then just book the days that open up. Keep the faith.....

We have a preferred pool/garden view booked but would prefer the Boardwalk view. We also wait listed for the standard view so that we could save points!

Depending on how far out your trip is, you always have a good chance of your waitlist working for you.

There are two types of waitlist notifications. One: you can choose to have them call you when your waitlist becomes available. By choosing this option, MS will leave you a message (if you've missed the call) and you must call them back within 24 hours or you loose your waitlist. Two: you can choose to have them automatically accept your waitlist when it becomes available, you will receive a new confirmation in the mail.

I always choose to be called. I just like knowing as soon as it becomes available.

I believe your request stays on the waitlist until 30 days prior to your trip, and if you want to stay on the waitlist, you then need to call MS back to notify them.

What time of the year is your trip and did you get on the waitlist at the 11 month mark or the 7 month mark?

For example, if you are going in early December and got on the waitlist at the 7 month mark, your chances are not as good as they would be if you were going in late January and got on the waitlist before the 7 month window opened.

It also makes a difference if you are waitlisting for the entire stay to become available all at once or if you are waitlisting for each day on an individual basis.

My trip is in October and I waitlisted last week (1/06). Since the 7 month window has not opened yet maybe I'll get lucky!!!
