question about wait list

I just tried to make a ressie for BWV studio over Thanksgiving. No luck - so I asked to be put on a wait list. I was told there were a few 1BR left. My question is this - Should I make a ressie for a 1BR? Can I switch if a studio becomes available? What happens to the extra points if I can and do switch - can I bank them? (My UY is Feb) Thanks.

I would make a 1 bedroom ressie so you have somewhere to stay. Yes, if a studio becomes available you can switch and than bank the points -1 exception if the studio becomes available in the 30 days prior to your stay the points would be "holding points"

Also, my understanding is there are now 3 waitlist for BW. 1) standard; 2) preferred garden 3) preferred BW. You may be better off listing for all three even if it involves a move if you are looking to conserve points.
