Question about transferred points

Our scenario is this: we'd be transferring some points from a June 2011 UE and some from a June 2012 UE for a reservation in October 2011. I've read in a couple of threads here that you cannot borrow transferred points (as we'd have to do with those June 2012 points). Is that a definite truth, or one of those things that MS is wishy-washy about?

I was told that you could not but I have never pressed them on it. It kind of makes sense to me that you cant have all the "flexibilities" because they are transferred. If you find out differently and are given the green light I would think many people would want to know

You cannot borrow transferred points. That's the rule. You can bank them or use them in your current year. June 2012 points cannot be used for an Oct 2011 reservation.
