Was just curious about something, have seen pictures of the TSM at WDW and DL, are they the same, or does the one in WDW have a lot more to it, like at the entrance, etc. Like the monkies, etc. Was just curious, if someone could help me out, that would be great. Thank You.:goodvibes

The ride is the same for both, but there are differences in the entrances.

At DL, there is a Single Rider line and no FastPass.

At WDW, there is a FastPass but no Single Rider line. (The FastPasses run out early, so grab one ASAP!)

At DL, most of the line is outside and the line goes past the talking animatronic Mr. Potato Head.

At WDW, a good portion of the line is inside, decorated with huge classic games, crayons, etc. I don't remember an animatronic Mr. Potato Head there.

Toy Story Mania at Disney World is more like a carnival game.
Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios is a kick @$$ ride

At Disney World, towards the end of the line there is an animatronic Buzz Lightyear.

I have ridden both and agree with everything here. There is a Mr. Potato Head in both rides. At DHS it is inside. At DCA it is outside. The rides are the same. The lines are shorter at DCA.

Does anyone have lots of pictures of the one at DL, I have seen lots of photos of the one at WDW, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of the one at DL, I am a DL girl. Thank you in advance. :goodvibes

Thank you for the link to those photos, I had seen them. Was hoping somone would have some more photos, would love to see the inside waiting area, etc. Thank You.:goodvibes

Only been on the DL one. Most of the line is outside except for one room where they have pictures of the different games you will be playing on the ride. When you wait in line pay attention to those pictures as they give you hints how to do well when playing the game.

This doesn't make any sense??? The ride is the same at both CA Adventure & Hollywood Studios. I don't get the Disney World sentence??

Aside from the fact that Hollywood Studios is at Disney World. :confused3

I didn't understand this at first either, but I'm pretty sure that they were trying to say:

Buzz Lightyear's Astroblaster at Magic Kingdom is more like a carnival game.
Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios is a kick @$$ ride

At Magic Kingdom, towards the end of the line there is an animatronic Buzz Lightyear.

However, the response is still in the wrong place because this is a thread about the DCA Toy Story Midway Mania.

There really is no totally inside waiting area. Almost all of the line is outside in a brilliantly done switchback queue. There is an area under a roof, but with at least 3 large door openings, that has 4 switchback lines inside, but it's a fairly plain room with ceiling fans and attraction posters. The attraction posters are pictured in the dis info link already given. The inside area is after the main outdoors area, then you exit, get your glasses, and then are outside again for a few minutes depending on the length of the line, then you go into the area around the loading area.

The TSM rides are the same -- super fun. I would say the queue at WDW is much more interesting -- all the giant games and toys to walk around and under. (That line and the Expedition Everest lines were the only ones I didn't mind standing in). But you miss the interesting part of the line if you have a FP!

The DCA version is basically like most other Disney lines -- a well-executed switchback. One advantage is that you can see the giant talking Mr. Potatohead from the street in DCA; the WDW version is hidden well inside.
