Question about this weeks episode of 24

I missed the first half hour and was confused about what happened to William Devanes character. We were driving back from the airport and I have never missed an episode! If you miss any part of that show, you can get very lost!

The Sec. of Defense was driving his car after being fired by Pres. Logan. Jack caught Henderson and wanted the recording, Henderson told Jack that he would kill the Sec. as he was having him followed by a helicopter. Jack called the Sec. who confirmed that there was a helicopter and rather than have Jack release Henderson, the Sec. drove his car off a cliff.

It was sad. Heller felt guilty about not trusting Jack earlier. He said "I will not allow Logan and Henderson to use me as a pawn". He drove off the cliff right into a lake.

This season has been a rough one.
