Question about the special reservations Line...

Thought I'd add to this topic as I phone the "Special Reservation Line" this morning. Reason for my quotation marks is that they guy kept having to put me on hold to talk to someone from Special Reservations. I was not able to talk to them directly.

At least I found out that when I initially booked they put the request for toilet bars on the wrong side, as my dad has no use of his left side. When I said can I have them fixed he said he'd contact Special Reservations for me and then asked if I wanted anything else. So I'm hopping they fixed it. I really don't want to have to phone them again as its long distance from Canada and an extra charge that I shouldn't be having to pay as I phoned once and should have gotten proper service, or at least thats my expectation when I can't phone 1-800.

It was possibly the worst call I have ever made to Disney. Now I'm not exactly feeling good about what room we might get at the Pop. However I do know we can pretty much make do with anything if we have to.

I called Reservations to have our needs noted, they told me to call Special Requests. I called Special Requests and they said they don't take requests :confused3. So I hung up and called right back and got GS. The gentleman apologized and said he would take care of it. I called back a few days later and none of the medical requests were noted. So we cancelled (2 year in a row). I don't think a vacation should be this difficult LOL.

Abear; install Skype. Very easy to install and use and makes it a lot cheaper to make long distance and/or international calls. Don't know the rates from Canada, but to give you an idea; with Skype I pay about 4 cents a minute to call any of the WDW-numbers, where as using a landline it would've been at least 28 cents.

I called the special line 2 weeks ago and told them that I needed a room at POFQ with a roll in shower and was told they would transfer me over to the regular line after they told them what I needed. While making the reservations with the person on the regular line he put me on hold and went back to the guy on the special line to confirm the roll in shower.

And Disney wonders why people get aggravated?! :confused3
