Question about the newest package offer (Disney Visa offer)

If we book this package, do we have to use the passes at that time? For example, we are going in February and we have AP's, but can I use them in June on a different trip? Also, do the passes have to be for the original group?

This is the deal.... I am taking my 3 sons to WDW in Feb. We are staying at BCV, but then will be moving to WL for the last three days of our trip. Then, in June, we are going again with DH when he comes home from deployment. We all have AP's so we we don't need the passes in Feb, but in June, my DH and youngest DS will need passes. Can I book the package in Feb. and then use the passes for DH and DS in June?

Thanks.

Not trying to scam, just wondering if it would work this way.

I believe on the package deals the passes are included on your door key card & I also believe they expire just like MYW passes.

You can add the no expiration option to the passes. It will cost extra but may be worth it. Good Luck! :)

I don't think the tickets will expire if never used. Isn't that how MYW tickets work??

I'm not familiar with the Disney Visa package, but can answer your questions in the context of how a MYW package would work in this situation.

MYW tickets expire 14 days after their first use. If you're going to use your annual passes during the first trip and don't use the package tickets, that 14-day ticker won't be started. They'll still be good for a later trip even if you don't have the no-expire option.

MYW park tickets are normally placed right on the room key. They'll put them on a separate paper ticket if you specifically ask to have it that way when you check in, though. That way, the ticket won't be on a room key that has a name printed on it.

The non-transfer policy for tickets is that only the first person to use the ticket can ever use the ticket. If the ticket has never been used, it isn't against the rules to transfer it.

Those are the rules for MYW packages. The Visa package might be different. For example, tickets that come with a convention package don't work the same way. Those tickets have a set expiration date regardless of whether they're used or not. They're also not transferable under any conditions.

I think I read somewhere on the Visa requirements that they expire in 14 days. I don't know if you can change it or pay more to upgrade.

I took the following from the Disney site...~:)~

The number of packages available at these rates are limited. Tickets and options must be used within 14 days of first use.

If you don't use your ticket in the park turnstiles, they will not expire. They only expire once they are used/activated. We have done the package during free dining in Sept. 05 and Aug. 06. As AP holders we never used any of the one day tickets. My grandson used his one day ticket last week while in WDW and his ticket was from Sept. 05, no problem. I used my Aug. 06 one day ticket last week to renew my AP (they applied the $67 value and I paid the remainder), no problem. Even though my ticket was on my room key, that never really mattered because I only used my keycard when using the DDP credits and getting into the room. When I returned home I took a sharpie and wrote what was left on the ticket. While there last week renewing, I had hubby's one day ticket with us, as his AP expires in the Spring and mine in the Fall. Asked the CM to check it and she said there is still an unused one day ticket left on it as I had expected.
