Question about the JetBlue Rewards Program

We don't have a JetBlue Rewards card (yet) and we already booked 10 round-trip flights from BDL to MCO August 14-24, 2011. Would we be able to gain those points once we sign up for a Rewards card, or would we have had to book our flights with it? And how many points would we get from this? TIA.
