Sent the info to my husband. We both said it sounds like a nice cruise (have been to Catalina Island in the past). I might try to book this.

That could be a fun cruise. However, don't be expecting a warm cruise for those dates and itinerary. Highs for San Francisco in April are low 60s and it's colder while at sea. I did an early May Pacific coast cruise and everyone was in sweatshirts and avoiding the pool deck.

I have been on a previous west coast member cruise, and I would be interested in this one, EXCEPT, we are on the WB Panama Canal cruise that leaves Galveston in April 2027! Having said that, I am not ruling it out! :boat:
We would be home in NJ for a week after the DVCMC before we head out to TX to visit family before the WBPC.

Decisions!

First member cruise that has really intrigued me since we joined…

Not sure the timing will work out, or that it makes any sense to fly with young children all the way to San Diego… but… very interested… Can’t wait to see the points chart…

I wonder what it means that they are putting it on the Wonder after doing bigger ships for the past while…

We have been on the Wonder once-2011 for inaugural Alaska. I have been wanting to sail her again.

This one does look interesting! Unfortunately, I'd be a solo traveler, which just does not make sense on DCL. I do like the smaller ships, and having done Alaska already, the cooler weather is A-OK with me.

Same!! We are in AZ and have been wanting to take the kids to SF! Driving would save a good chunk of change. Couple questions-

Is the deposit 10%?
Is it refundable the standard number of days out?
I’m guessing there aren’t many teens on these?

We probably couldn’t confirm until next school year when we get the competition schedule for dance and the testing dates for school. I think this would be after my son’s big swim meet which works out.

Total newby at DCL and Member Cruises. I think it said it needs to be paid in full at time of booking. No pricing or point list posted yet.

I know that it may seem to some like this member cruise is far out, but we are already booked on the Dream out of San Juan that April.
I guess that we will have to wait for the 2028 member cruise. 😣

They need to announce the member cruises on the same schedule as the regular DCL cruises (or sooner).
If the member cruise is going to be in the spring, then they should announce it at least at the same time that DCL releases their spring itineraries.
We booked and paid for our spring 2027 DCL cruise 4 months ago when the DCL spring itinerary came out, and we have already planned vacation time off with our employers, flights, and hotel stays.
We have incorporated those plans with our late 2026 through mid 2027 schedules.
It's too late to change everything around.

If they had it happening in the fall of 2027, this would have been a great time to announce it, beating the release of DCL's fall itineraries.
We would have booked it on day 1.

Oh well, maybe on the next one.

We're going to do this as our first member cruise! Being on the west coast makes this convenient and we were already considering a pacific coast cruise.

As a solo traveler I just looked at the Wonder sailing a 6 night from San Diego to Mexican Riviera leaving April 30, 2027. The inside stateroom starts ~$2300. That room wouldn’t really work with my family but could for just myself.

I really wanted to go on the next member cruise. But the itinerary just doesnt excite me and if it doesnt excite me no chance it will excite my husband. 2 days in SF is just alot of time imo. If I wanted to go to SF Id just go I wouldnt need to cruise there. But it seems they will offer good excursions. But that also racks up the cost too.

Oh what a bummer. First one that looks interesting to me but it’s so close to another cruise I’ve booked. I usually book my cruises far in advance.

I bet this member cruise will offer a special incentive for purchasing points for LSL. The timing would be right.

I’m excited about this one because of the extra time in San Francisco. I’ve long wanted to visit the Disney Family Museum there, and I expect that they’ll have something very special for the Member Cruise. DH and I cruise for the sightseeing shore excursions, not for swimming or lying on beaches, and I’d just as soon have the weather be cool instead of hot!

I know the MCs are more expensive than normal DCL cruises of same duration and similar itinerary, because of the special events and souvenirs that are included. @bobbiwoz and others who have been on Member Cruises before, any idea how much “extra” we should be thinking this one might cost, i.e., $1,000, $2,000, $5,000 for two of us? I hope they release the cash and points prices far enough in advance for us to decide!
