I am 28 years old and in the process of getting a divorce. I am starting college again and (of course) want to apply for the CP next term. My question is, how does it work for CMs with kids? I have a 2 y/o DS and I know that no one under 18 is allowed in their housing. Does anyone have experience with this or know any other single moms that have done the program? I know I can't be the first one ever and I can't seem to find the answers anywhere:confused3:confused3

Your child won't be allowed to live in CP housing as far as I know. You could opt to live off property and find your own apartment somewhere nearby though.

I'm a mom and almost did the CP before but passed on it. When I talked to someone on the phone they said that my family could live offsite so I think that would be your only option! Good luck!

I don't know anyone but I imagine you wouldn't be the first. The only input I have is hat your schedule can be very difficult to predict and it is always changing based on needs when you're a CP. If you have somene who is flexible with time and can watch your son, you may be able to do it! I lived off property. Still had a great CP.

Hey! While I am not a single mom I am a mom and I am starting my CP on Sep 5. There are a couple options:
1-Let your child stay with a relative while you do the CP. This way you can live in housing and also know your child has good childcare.
2-do what I am doing and just pay for outside housing. I will say that this is far more expensive. I am married though so that helps because we are working childcare around my husbands work schedule since there is no way to predict mine. If you do this option you will still need to pay the whole fee upfront for housing, etc...Once you provide an address for them and they aprove you living on your own, after 30 days of the CP you will get the housing part of your original fees refunded to you. I hope I helped!

. . . You could opt to live off property and find your own apartment somewhere nearby though.

1) You could live off-site, but I see no way for you to afford it.
2) Unless you are rich or have great alimony.
3) CP's are widely known to be the lowest paid people at WDW.
