You'd think after all the times we've rented cars, I would know this stuff already
This is a two part question:
The best rate I found for our WDW/DCL trip was through Budget, who've we've never used before. Soooo..I signed up for their RapidRez program and rented us two one-way rentals (WDW to DCL, DCL to WDW).
I noted on their website that it's perfectly fine that spouses drive the car - however, it stated that they must share the same address as evidenced on their drivers license. DH does, of course, share the same address as me, however we've only been at this house for 6 months and DH hasn't changed his address on his DL yet. Is there anything else we can present them that they'll accept if it comes up? Checkbook? Car Insurance card?
The reason I ask is b/c our plan the day of the cruise is for DH to drop me and the bags off at the port, then return the car to the rental place near the port. MCO has Rapid Rez, but the Port Canaveral location does not. Ergo, he will have to go up to the counter to return the car. If the car is in my name, and his drivers license doesn't match the address on record, will there be a problem?
I'm hoping not..I suppose we could find out by going up to the counter at MCO when we pick up the first car and making sure he's on the Rez, but that would completely negate the point of signing up for RapidRez to start with
Sorry for the convoluted question. I appreciate any feedback!
