Question about splitting payments with Disney Visa discount

There isn't a Disney Visa discount currently, but I was wondering a particular scenario: If I have a package and I put the $200 deposit on my Disney Visa, but when the balance needs to be paid 30 days prior I pay with a cc that is not the Disney Visa, if a Disney Visa discount is released after the final payment at 30 days, could I switch to it? I know that's a lot of unlikely "ifs," but curious if anyone has experience with this.

Of course, what would cover all bases is putting the balance on the Disney Visa, but there are really good reasons for this particular trip to be paid with a different card, hence my asking.

Thank you!

Ooops, I meant to put this in the Discount Codes and Rates. Mods, please feel free to move it there.

You should be fine to do this, we do it all the time because my Disney Visa is just the debit (because the CC rewards are terrible) so I prefer to pay the rest of the room with my travel cards. As an example, our TA usually books our split stays as a ticketless package to give us a lower upfront deposit rather than 1 night at each resort, and when we did it for YC a Disney Visa discount came out a few months later. She just shifted the deposit over and I was still able to get the discount and pay the rest of it off with my Sapphire Preferred.

Great! Thanks for sharing your experience! ☺️
