Question about Room Only Ressie

Okay.. I called and changed my ressie with the CTH code. YAY!

Well I got my Modified confirmation the other day. It says that my deposit was paid, etc. Then it says that my remaining balance is due by 1/17/04.

Is this correct? I thought that only the deposit was due prior to checkin. And I'd pay the remaining at check-out.

Not that big of a deal. I have been socking cash and have the money, it just sounds random.

What do you all think?

Also.. I plan on photocoping the bill and the check I send in (as I have heard of them loosing payments). Thanks in advanced!

Great question--

I had a room reserved at PO-R at rack rate, and then we switched over to an AP room only reservation at Fort Wilderness (cabins). We ended up owing an additional $100 or so. I got my new confirmation, and it said that my balance was due on 12/28. So I called CRO, spoke to a GREAT CM (Ace was his name) Who told me most 'code' reservations are keyed in thier system as packages, even if it is room only. He assured me that they would NOT lose my money, and that we could pay the balance upon checkin. I may just send the final payment in anyway.

A quick call to CRO or WDTC might be in order, just so you can have a name/date you spoke to someone to reference. And when I called, Ace literally picked up the phone before I could go to the hold music, so some of the CRO craziness seems to have died down.

Debster... thanks for your response! I just called CRO and talked to CM Regan.

She did say that I am good to go. No money due until check-in. I do have the money so I probably will go ahead and pay it. Wow, it will feel good to have something else paid for. Woo hoo.
