Question about room keys?

When I made my reservation for a trip of friends, I had to give their names to the DVC CM. Do they get keys with their names on it at check-in? Do they have to show id? Can they put credit cards down for their own room keys if the keys have their name on it? I don't know b/c I have travelled with just myself and my wife so far.

The names are there for security purposes, and they will get keys, but only one credit card per unit at check in, so they wont be able to each do a credit card.

And you can modify, add change names at check in.
