I know this is a basic question, but how do you quote someone from a previous post in your new post? :confused3

TIA! :goodvibes :sunny:

Highlight what you want to quote and copy it.

Come in the thread you want to put it in type this:
the person's screen name said:
paste your copy here /QUOTE]

You will need to put in the begin bracket before the /

just click the "quote" button on the post you want to quote and it will bring you to a screen to type your response. HTH

It took me a long time to figure it out.

You go to that person's post and choose the quote button on their post. A new window will open up for you, which includes their post, and gives you a space to respond. You can edit their post as necessary - but if you make any material changes, you should note that in your reply.

Some people have been able to quote from more than one post, and I don't know how to do that.

OK, this is a better answer. I thought the OP wanted to quote someone form a different thread. :teeth:

to quote from more than one post. Just copy and past the quotes into seperate [*quote] [*/quote] tags for each one you want like this

Multiple quotes can also be done by clicking on the Quote icon of one of the posts, like a normal quote. Then, for the others, just right click on their appropriate Quote icons on the other posts, selecting 'Open in New Window' from the choices that come up. Highlight, copy, paste the text that is in each of the subsequent windows that pop up, each with their own leading and ending quote operators.
