Question about PoP Century

I'll be staying at the Pop century next week and was there at christmas time and know they have tvs. We're big movie people and were hoping to watch some dvds when we get back in the evenings. I was wondering if you have any ideas of how to watch dvds in the room. I've heard of renting video game systems but do they do the same for dvd players and if so how much is does it cost? If thats not an option I have a laptop I could bring but can't remember what the tv was like so I'm not sure if it would have somewhere to connect it to the tv and what kind of cord I'd need to bring to make that happen. Also not sure about leaving the laptop in the room all day while out. So if you have any ideas please let me know any help would be great thank you!

DH travels with his Playstation 2 (*sigh*) and it doubles as a DVD player, so we easily hooked it up to the TV @ Pop to watch movies and to play Scene It (that DVD movie trivia game).

I took my laptop as well but it's hard for 5 people to crowd around that!

I would assume you can rent a playstation console from a movie rental place there in Orlando if you don't have one of your own. They are small and easy to pack.

I don't know if you're flying out of Logan or not, but they have a place called InMotion Pictures. (Orlando Int'l has them as well) You can rent a portable DVD player that can be used on the flight, as well as hooked up to a TV once in your hotel room.

An alternative idea is to go down to Best Buy, Circuit City, or Wal*Mart, and pick up a cheap DVD player. I bought a CyberHome DVD player for my bedroom a few months back. It's very small, and works great. And it was only $39

The TVs at POP have a composite video (rca type cable with a yellow plug, NOT SVHS or component) jack and a single (mono not stereo) audio jack on the front. You'd need a composite video cable and a stereo to mono (two plugs on one end, one plug on the other) audio cable. I always bring a dvd player with me, Disney's cable offerings leave a lot to be desired. I usually buy Disney's latest animation release and save it for the trip.
