We booked our package through the Universal site (which now I am reading was probably a bad idea :confused3). I just had a DUH moment & realized I didnt see anything about how we will get our tickets. Will they be mailed to us or will we get them at check-in? We are staying at RPR.

They should give you a vocher at check in for the tickets and if your really concerned about it I would give them a call and ask them and they will be happy to give you the info on it
Hope this helps :thumbsup2

Forgot to say :welcome: and noticed its your first time at Universal and you will get spoiled by staying onsite and fotl is awsome and have a great time :thumbsup2

Thank you!

We are SO excited! :cheer2:

We love Universal and have been a few times and this year we will be staying at RPR for the first time in July and are so excited too

I too have booked my families' first trip to Universal in May on their website.
If you printed off the confirmation, there is a paragraph stating that you take your confirmation number and the credit card you used to book to a ticket kiosk and enter the info and your tickets are issued.

I also booked a vacation thru Universal. After I booked it I also wondered how I would receive my documents, so I wrote to Universal and they replied saying I would receive Etravel documents via email. You will need to print them and take with you. In these you will see the instructions for the electronic ticketing booth. This is how you obtain your tickets. Hope this helps.

First time for us too. Just assumed, we show up at RPR and they give us the tickets, room keys, and map. :confused3 We are flying, plane lands at 0830, FL Tours towncar, figure get to the hotel about 1000. Take off for parks!!!! YEA!!!!!!

Shouldn't take you that long to get there unless you have a grocery stop cause we used towncar last year and only took 30 minuets to get there

I'm excited to. My first solo trip after "growing up", lol. I was planning staying on-site, but with a limited budget, I'm staying at the Doubletree across the street (and a longer visit too). Plan on doing WDW next year with my niece (might do Disneyland since neither of us have been there). Then in 2010, I'm going back to Universal for Wizarding World of Harry Potter, for which I *will* be staying on site for the free express pass. Anywho, that's my story!! :goodvibes

We booked our package through the Universal site (which now I am reading was probably a bad idea ).

Why is this a bad idea?

Hubby and I are treading around the idea of going to Universal (rather than Disney) this fall or in Jan 09. I'm just beginning to do research.

Do you purchase Uni. tix from Undercover Tourist? Do you reserve your onsite hotel through LoewsHotels.com? What the best way to build a Universal vacation?

The way you are doing it is the best way. Don't buy a package because first off, it usually isn't the cheapest and secondly, if room prices go down, your rate doesn't.

Book directly with Loews on their website. If the rate changes, call them up and have them adjust your rate.

You can get tickets online or wherever. Just get them as cheaply as you can.

Really nothing wrong with going thru Universal vactions but as most will say its sometimes cheaper to book the onsite hotels and tickets sep cause most times the AAA rate or supersaver rates can be alot cheaper not to mention the 7 day 2 park unlimited tickets cause when doing my research universal vacations charges like 90 some dollars for that and you can get them cheaper .
you can be surprised how much cheaper you can get the rooms if you are AAA memeber

I just called Loews & told them I am an AAA member & they quoted me the exact rate that I got with my package through Universal? :confused3
