Just noticed on my DLP map that there are some outlets located near the resort and an aquarium. Are they worth visiting? What kind of stores will I find there? Any Disney outlets like at WDW? Thanks for any info.

Hi,

Yep, well worth a visit.

There's a large shopping centre in the style of the Trafford Centre (or similar), that also contains the SeaLife Centre (not been so can't say if it's any good) and a huge supermarket which good for stocking up on supplies and bottled water for the week.

There is a Disney Outlet there but not a great deal in it, plus I don't think the prices are any different.

There's also a area containing different restaurants which make a change from the offerings at Disney - I can recommend the Italian.

Additionally there's a retail outlet villiage (bit like Cheshire Oaks but nowhere near the size) where you can get some bargains, I got a pair of Timberland shoes for £30 on my last visit. There's also a Burberry shop for the Chav's out there (sorry, couldn't resist!!).

I think a small Disney clothes shop is in the Outlet Villiage, but there wasn't a great deal of choice.

Getting there is easy, one stop on the train and I think it's 1 Euro each way.

Hope that help, but any specific questions please ask.

Cheers
