 Hi ya'll

I have a question :confused3 . Is the music piped into O'hana's from MK during the fireworks? also, can you see the fireworks from O'hana's?

I'm thinking about making late, late ADR's for O'hana's, but we have "Preferred Viewing" @ MK for the fireworks but I didn't know
which was better, being there or just watching & listening to it from
O'hana's?

The fireworks are @ 9pm that night, do you think we'll be
out of MK before 10:00pm. :smooth: I know how busy MK can be & getting on the mono-rail can be a pain @ the closing of MK. :confused3

Any input would be most helpful !!! :lovestruc

Yes, the music is piped in (or it was when we were last there). And yes, you can indeed see the fireworks from 'Ohanas.
Cheers!

We had a window table in December at Ohana, and they piped in the music, so we had a perfect view of the fireworks, and it was great. But the night before we saw Wishes inside MK and I think that was wonderful. If I couldn't see Wishes inside MK I would try to see them from Ohana, but if I could only see them once during my trip, I would try to be at MK to see them. We saw Wishes, Illuminations and Fantasmic in December, and Wishes were my favorite. I'm not sure about your timing question. We were there the 2nd week in December, and I don't remember how long it took us to get out of MK. We had 2 little kids, and tried to take our time getting out (so not to lose them). HTH :)

honestly, if you have preferred viewing at MK I'd take that over Ohana. It is it or miss whether you are going to get a table with a good view. Not all the window seats even give you prime viewing. It is a nice perk if you are there and can time it right, but I wouldn't make Ohanas my only wishes viewing opportunity. JJ

 Hi ya'll

We'll play it by ear; we have 9:45pm ADR's for O'hona's & the fireworks starts at 9:00pm. Even if we stay for 30 min., I think, I think  :rotfl2: "that could be a problem" but anywho..........I would think we could get to O'hona's in 10-15 minutes right? :hourglass

If not we have a "Wishes Cruise" :sail: on Nov 29th for our 20th Wedding Anniversary that's already booked & awaiting for us to come onboard. :woohoo: I'm ready to take go too !!!! :woohoo:

I wanted to get one of those drinks Lapu Lapu or Back Scratchers :drinking1 :smooth: that I've read so much about on these boards..................can you see it now :artist:

Thank ya'll for your help ! :thanks:

While I love watching the fireworks from the Poly there is no way it can take the place of actually being in MK when they are going off. They are worlds apart in terms of experience! I would never take the beach view over actually being there.

What is preferred viewing? You've got me really curious!

I'm one of those that enjoy seeing it from different locations. I've seen it so many times in the parks, that seeing it at 'Ohanas was a treat. HOWEVER, we did not have the best view. We were seated just over the pool area and the volcano slide thing was blocking some of the view. It would have been nice to be down on the beach to watch, but I'm guessing we wouldn't hear the music down there.

I have also seen some of the fireworks while dining at Citricos. The view was partially obstructed by the building, but we could still see them. We are hoping to see them from the CA Grill in October.

If you hang out to see Wishes (even part of it) over at MK then try to make it over to the Poly, you'll most likely be late. You'd be fighting the crowds to get out, then have to wait to catch the ferry or monorail. I'd say just head over to the Poly, get a Lapu Lapu, Rum Runner, or Backscratcher and enjoy it at the beach. :goodvibes

 vascubaguy & all

you've got a point..........we can always have the "preferred viewing" changed. I sure do want one of those drinks :drinking1 & to eat there on that night or I can change the ADR's for 8:30 or 8:45pm huh :thumbsup2

That does it..........we'll keep the 9:45pm ADR's & walk in looped...... :woohoo: let's hope not but "happy" from seeing the fireworks :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

fivefordisney - "preferred viewing" is: we are on the Platinum Pkg & there is an area w/in MK that is roped off that only folks w/Preferred viewing vouchers are allowed to sit. That's all I know. We had preferred viewing back in May 2003 w/the Gold Plan, I didn't attend it, my DH & son did & they said it was near the smoking area (that's back then) I don't know where it actually was. But.....I'll know this year ! :sunny: :dance3:
